Applications are invited from India Citizens meeting the following conditions for engagement of around 21(Guwahati)+27(Dibrugarh)=48 (tentative figure) Field Investigators on purely contract basis in the Regional & Zonal Office of National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division) Guwahati and Dibrugarh, Assam and Its SubRegional Offices located at Silchar, Jorhat & Tezpur for a maximum period of 12 months, starting from 13th July, 2015(or actual date). The selected candidates will be responsible for conduct of field Surveys of NSSO in Rural and Urban areas and would be placed at Regional Office Guwahati & Dibrugarh or its Sub Regional Office Silchar, Jorhat & Tezpur of Field Operation Division of National Sample Survey Office.

Educational Qualification:
i) Graduate Degree from a recognized University with Statistics/Economics/Mathematics as one of the papers at Degree level.
ii) Knowledge of English and local language.
iii) Knowledge of Computer applications like MS Office etc.
Desirable qualification: Experience in conducting field survey and field data collection work in a Government Organization. Such Candidates would be given preference at the time of assessing the suitability for the job.
Age: Age of candidate should be 21 to 30 years as on 01072015. Age relaxation will be given to those candidates who have experience in conducting field survey and field data collection work in a Government Organisation, for the number of years served in it, as also to Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Categories or candidates with disabilities as per the GOIs Instructions in vogue. Remuneration: Field Investigators will be paid a consolidated remuneration of Rs.16,500/ per month. Selection Procedure: Candidates meeting the conditions in Para – 2 above shall be Shortlisted, if required, and will be called for Interview to make an Assessment for Selection.
