Job Description | Job Description Regional Manager Distribution Sales JOB TITLE: REGIONAL MANAGER DISTRIBUTION SALES REPORTS TO: COO 1. JOB PURPOSE To set up a chain of dealers and distributors to serve as channel partners for the Company To manage the Companys channel partners in their respective regions To sell the Companys products through the dealers and distributors To consistently get both primary and secondary sales through each of the dealers and distributors DIMENSIONS Revenue targets: o 0.50 crores in 2011-12 o 2.50 crores in 2012-13 o 5.00 crores in 2013-14 By end FY 12-13 to have 6-8 distributors, and 300-400 dealers PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES To develop a business proposition to attract dealers and distributors to sell the Companys products To initially concentrate on selling Solectric Plug & Play products, and solar water heaters To coordinate with the retail branch managers, for support in identifying dealers / distributors To identify and appoint distributors in all A and B tier cities To identify and appoint a minimum of 50 dealers per distributor To ensure that there is a consistent primary sales with each distributor and dealer To ensure that there is consistent secondary sales from each dealer counter To plan and conduct activities with dealers to promote secondary sales like road shows, exhibitions, kiosk demos to coordinate with retail branch managers in doing this To work through branches wherever retail branches are present to ensure good quality installation and prompt after sales service is provided To identify a mechanism of working with channel partners, but effectively claiming the MNRE capital subsidy for solar water heaters and To provide daily / monthly reporting to the COO in the designated template EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 6-8 years senior managerial sales experience Hands-on sales experience in selling products through dealer channels Hands-on experience in appointing distributors and dealers Displays strong, clear communication and written skills A real self-starter, able to take initiative and operate independently Strong commercial understanding and ability to negotiate effectively with distributors and dealers Can present himself / herself well and properly represent the company Aggressive sales management with a strong record of exceeding sales targets MBA is preferred |
