Applications are hereby invited in standard Form of Applications as published in the Assam Gazette in Part IX from intending candidates who are Citizens of India as defined in Articles 5-8 of the Constitution of India for filling up the posts of Junior Assistant as mentioned below which are lying vacant in the A.H. & Vety Deptt.

Vacancy Details:

1. Name of the post: Junior Assistant. (Category “A”)
No. of the posts: 42 (Backlog “SC”-, UR-20, STP-4, STH-2, SC-3, OBC-11)
Age: candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years of age as on 01-11-2014. The upperage limit is relaxable in case of SC,ST and Ex-Servicemen as per existing Rules.
Pay Scale: Pay Band 2 of Rs. 5200-20200/ pm + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/
Educational Qualification: HSSLC(10+2) or its equivalent from recognized Board/University, Diploma in Typewritting both in Assamese and English. (Preference will be given to Diploma holder in Computer typing)

2. Nameof the post: Junior Assistant (Category “B”)
No. of posts: 29 nos.
Age:candidates should not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years of age as on 01-11-2014. The upperage limit is relaxable in case of SC,ST and Ex-Servicemen as per existing Rules.
Pay Scale: Pay Band 2 of Rs. 5200-20200/ pm + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/
Educational Qualification: HSLC or its equivalent from recognized Board. Diploma in Typewritting both in Assamese and English. (Preference will be given to Diploma holder in Computer typing)

Woman Reservation: 30% posts will be filled up for women candidates subject to availability of candidates in each category.

Selection Procedure:
Selection shall be made through Written Examination and Interview.

1.Category (A): Parers/Marks for Written Examination : Total Marks=150
General English: 50 Marks
General Knowledge: 50 Marks
Common Arithmetic/Test of reasoning: 50 Marks.
Candidates qualifying in the Written Examination will be called Interview.

1.Category (B): Interview will consist of two parts: Total Marks= 50 Marks
Word processing/Typing= 30 Marks
Viva-voce= 20 Marks
