APPOINTMENT
North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) established for the development of North Eastern Region by providing credit facilities and support services to industries & infrastructure invites application for the post of Assistant Manager Grade A. Last date for receipt of Application is July 05, 2013.

Experience
First class graduate in any discipline (55% for SC /ST) with first class MBA from reputed institutions / University (55% for SC /ST)  / CA / ICWA/ CMA.Should not exceed 28 years as on June 30, 2013. Relaxation in age for SC / ST will be 5 years and 3 years for OBC.
Further relaxation may be given to persons with disability and Ex- Servicemen as per Govt. of India guidelines.
Minimum one year post qualification on the job experience in appraisal and follow up of projects in Banks & Financial Institutions.

Total Number of vacancies: 12 (twelve) which includes vacancy in the general as well as reserved category.
Scale of Pay    : 17100 -1000 (11)-28100 – EB – 1000 (4) -32100 – 1100 (1) – 33200. Total emoluments at initial basic will be Rs.60,000/- approx. per month. Medical facilities and other perks will be as per rules of the Corporation.

General:
  1. Management has the right to increase / decrease the number or not to fill up the posts at its discretion.
  2. Candidates working in State/ Central Government / PSUs/ Autonomous Body should apply through proper channel and must produce NOC for appearing in interview.
  3. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in group discussion / interview if a set of self attested copies of education / caste certificate/ experience certificate mentioning nature of duty performed etc. are not enclosed with the application form and the original is not produced at the time of interview.

Pragati Development Consulting Services Limited (PDCSL) has been engaged by an UN Agency to provide technical, financial and human resource support to various programmes and operation in Assam & other North-East States. , PDCSL invites applications from qualified candidates for the   position of State Consultant- Teacher Education (one position) Duty Station: Guwahati: Consultant will be based at SCERT Guwahati
Basic objective of the consultancy
The Consultant will provide regular support to key implementing departments, viz. SCERT and UN Agency, for implementation of Teacher Education Scheme approved plans of SCERT, DIETs. CTE and IASEs, facilitating of Mentoring skills workshop and development of Module for Teacher training as per NCFTE 2009
Major Tasks to be accomplished:
  1. Technical Co-ordination
  • Support the Govt. of Assam (SCERT), UN Agency Assam for planning and effective implementation and manage Teacher Education Scheme as per GOI guideline.
  • Consultant will be
    • Ensure that Annual work plan of SCERT, DIETs, CTE and IASEs developed annually.
    • Follow up on implementation of the approved work plan through TEIs.
    • Support SCERT in developing the reports on the progress made periodically.
    • Documentation of the programme/activities of Teacher Education
    • Capable of use of ICT in Teacher Education programme
  1. Capacity-building
  • Develop and facilitate all phases of capacity-building plans / training and developmental opportunities on mentoring skills and related topics of teacher Education
  • Support in development of Facilitators Module on Mentoring skills of Teacher Educators
  • Prepare detailed reports of Mentoring skills workshops – all three phases in Assam
  1. Supportive Supervision & Monitoring
·         Together with other field functionaries of SCERT, undertake regular monitoring field visits to understand the quality of implementation and provide feedback for corrective measures
  • Develop monitoring mechanisms/reporting formats, assist with data compilation, analysis and reporting etc.
  • To provide technical assistance for preparation of documents / regular reports and returns with materials
  1. Inter-sectoral Convergence
·         Liaise with line departments’ viz. SCERT, DIET, CTE, IASE, DSE/DHE and Department of Education of Universities  to improve quality of inputs for education in their respective programs including initiatives such as Teaching learning methodology
·         To participate in meetings, workshops pertaining to Teacher Education programme and module
·    To perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor from time to time
Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required:
Education Qualifications:
·         Post Graduate in social Sciences, or Social Wok or Elementary of Secondary Education.
Experience:   
·         Previous work experience/ field experience /familiar with the practical application of planning/field coordination and management in primary education programs / projects.
·         Minimum two years of experience working with Govt./non-governmental agencies or other UN agencies
·         Ability to conduct educational survey
·         Working knowledge of MS Office essential, knowledge of data analysis packages preferable.
·         Good written and verbal communication skill, negotiation and facilitation skills
·         Fluent in speaking and writing Assamese, English and Hindi
·         Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Initially up to 31st December 2013 (with possibility of extension depending on performance and project requirement).
